After yesterday’s very short rant commentary regarding the video I posted, a few followers seemed to have vanished. That’s okay, because I have more digits on one hand than the amount who decided it was time to silently leave. Which is something I have struggled with since I came to Australia.
When I’m honest I’m often cringe-worthy honest. I don’t cringe at it, but those who are at the receiving end often do. That is mostly if they have some connection with British culture of, keeping up appearance and being [overly] polite, so they can avoid offending people.
That’s not how I roll, nor is it how I was brought up.
Unfortunately my honesty is based on facts and the truth. Unlike what you will read in certain newspapers or see in certain TV shows here in Australia. Shoving lies and bullshit down people’s throats. That they don’t seem to mind, because for some reason they probably know it’s bullshit, so it’s okay.
But when something is based on facts and the truth, then it suddenly becomes unbearable and unacceptable to speak about in the public. Let’s just lift the rug and sweep it under, so no one sees it.
It’s more comfortable like that – unfortunately.
