So, what is it? MIA or POW? Both are fitting terms for why I haven’t posted anything till now.
MIA – Missing In Action, is kind of what has happened. The action of dealing with a crappy car. That contraption which should take you from A to B, an action assumed equal to freedom.
Until the shit breaks down on you when you’ve made yourself too dependent of the shit.
POW – Prisoner Of War, also explains what has been going on. The war is me dealing with car services, car rentals and car dealers. This was has now become my prison.
Which makes this even more ironic. A car which by default is assumed to provide freedom has also provided me with a prison.
A prison I seem to not be able to escape.
A prison keeping me away from what I really should be doing.
This is why I prefer to own as few things as possible. The more you own, the more stupidly dependent on it and more stupidly blind you become, thinking you must own these things or else you can’t or won’t be living a full life.
In reality, the less you own, the more freedom you truly have.
Owning something because it’s convenient is a sign you are doing it wrong. If you must own something, it should be because you must have not, not because it’s convenient.
