An ex-colleague of mine posted a candid-camera video on his Facebook wall. A very silly, yet entertaining skit. A butcher is selling freshly made sausages in a mall. He makes these fresh sausages by putting a live piglet in a box, turn a lever and out comes a nice batch of sausages. It’s all fake, but very amusing to see how some customers react.
First the customers love the taste of these sausages, but when they see how they are made they go bonkers over it. Some turning violent. Hitting the “butcher”.
I decided to post an observational comment regarding this video. Lightly commenting on how ironic it is that these customers act all surprised a live animal is killed to make these sausages.
With my luck, one of his friends decided to make a pathetic quip about plants also feeling pain, blah blah blah…
Yes, plants and animals are alive, but biologically extremely different.
So I ended up going totally mental on his arse. Basically ridiculing him and swearing every second paragraph.
I’m just so sick of idiots like that. You make an objective comment about something you observed, but suddenly you have to defend your neutral observation.
And people wonder why I don’t like people…
